Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a hands-on Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our HVDC and Grid Integration team. You will oversee testing, commissioning, startup, and energization of high‑voltage systems at global project sites, ensuring safe, compliant operation.

You will work closely with project teams, customers, and specialists, travelling internationally to support world-class energy projects and deliver reliable power infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2–3 years in commissioning, testing, or field service in power/energy sectors.
Hands-on site experience with electrical equipment.
Experience with AC/DC systems and HV equipment.
Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Execute testing, commissioning, startup, and energization on HVDC, HV, and substation projects worldwide.
Perform commissioning on primary electrical equipment and systems
Carry out on-site functional testing, inspections, and troubleshooting.
Support energization activities for AC and DC systems per procedures.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, quality, HSE and project management teams.
