Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join a global team delivering HVDC systems worldwide. You will contribute to testing, verification, and startup of converter stations, ensuring reliability and safety across energization.

The role emphasizes structured testing, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Travel is frequent, and you will work with diverse teams across international project sites, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with power systems; HVDC and substations are a plus.
Willingness to travel across Europe for extended assignments.
Good command of English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Perform testing and startup of HVDC converter stations worldwide.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and meet customer requirements.
Oversee installation of equipment and facilities to ensure correct functionality.
Uphold Hitachi Energy's safety and integrity values.
Travel frequently and spend longer periods abroad.
