Job summary

Sapsf in Sweden seeks a Track Lead for JBoss Application Server and Apache Tomcat to drive reliability, observability, and performance across the value stream. You will lead SRE engineers, coordinate with operations and development teams, and set SLOs/SLIs while implementing automation and governance to reduce incidents.

The role focuses on architecture, incident management, change control, and CI/CD collaboration to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across application support, maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.
• Own end-to-end governance and architectural alignment within the value stream.
• Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex incidents and challenges.
• Drive engineering best practices, standards, and operational excellence.
• Mentor and coach SRE Engineers and technical specialists.
• Lead implementation of Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Establish and govern SLOs, SLIs, Error Budgets, and reliability metrics.
• Drive service availability, resilience, scalability, and performance improvements.
• Ensure reliability considerations are embedded within delivery and operational processes.
• Lead reliability assessments and engineering improvement initiatives.
• Define monitoring standards and Golden Signals.
• Ensure implementation of logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting frameworks.
• Improve proactive detection and prevention of service degradation.
• Drive observability maturity across the portfolio.
• Lead technical resolution of Major Incidents, RCA, and preventive actions.
• Eliminate recurring incidents through engineering fixes and automation.
• Support service restoration and recovery activities.
• Drive reduction in MTTR, incident volume, and outages.
• Drive automation-first operations.
• Identify and eliminate operational toil through automation.
• Lead implementation of self-healing and auto-remediation capabilities.
• Establish reusable engineering frameworks, scripts, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with Automation and SRE teams to maximize efficiency.
• Provide technical oversight for infrastructure, middleware, database, cloud, and application layers.
• Ensure readiness for peak loads, growth demands and perform architecture reviews.
