Job description
Overview

Husqvarna Group, a global leader in outdoor power products, invites you to join our 150 people strong Digital Products & Innovation team for a bachelor or master thesis project. We are a world-class digital product organization dedicated to creating innovative digital services that enhance our customeruls and partners digital experience. Our empowered product teams value customer focus, collaboration, and craftsmanship. We are an empowered and diverse group that takes pride in shaping our own ways of working.

The Challenge

Digital product development is undergoing a dramatic transformation. Traditional product discovery is being augmented by AI-powered design and prototype tools, automated research platforms that synthesizes customer data, predicts behaviors, and generates design variations at unprecedented speed. Meanwhile, new value creation patterns are emerging: adaptive interfaces, AI-assisted user journeys, and predictive experiences that anticipate customer needs. These technologies transform not just how we work, but what products we can imagine and deliver.

We\'re looking for students to explore this new landscape. Your research will help us understand how to accelerate product discovery, enable innovative design patterns, and create meaningful experiences for our customersor consumers, professionals, or channel partners.

Proper area of education

Bachelor or Master in Product Management, Business Development, Design or any other relevant field

Possible research directions

We\'re open to exploring a range of topics. You will collaborate with our team to define the final research question based on your interests and our business needs. Some potential areas include:

  • AI as Creative Co-Pilot: Transforming product discovery workflows and explore how generative AI tools reshape the product discovery process - from instant prototyping with user validation and code generation to market analysis and visualization. Investigate the optimal balance between AI assistance and human creativity in delivering customer value.
  • Dynamic UX for AI: Designing Interfaces That Harness LLM Capabilities - Research how to create effective user interfaces that combine the conversational flexibility of Large Language Models with the clarity of visual interaction patterns. Develop guidelines for when to use chat-based interaction versus more visual, pattern-driven interfaces.
  • AI Readiness in Product Discovery: Knowing When and How to Implement AI Solutions. Develop a framework for identifying opportunities where AI can meaningfully enhance digital products versus where traditional approaches remain superior. Include assessment criteria for technical feasibility, user acceptance, and error tolerance thresholds in AI-powered features.

Additional ideas around measuring business impact of current digital services:

  • Measure business impact of Fleet management for professional users: Quantifying Value Creation for Professional Customers. Analyze how fleet management services transform professionals operations and develop models to calculate return on investment. Focus on identifying key value drivers and creating measurement frameworks for B2B digital services.
  • Measure the business impact and service development with Uptime Center: How are the dealers changing their service offer to the professional customers with the help of Uptime Center? What are the biggest value drivers for the dealer, the professional customer and Husqvarna.
By conducting your thesis at Husqvarna Group, you will:
  • Work alongside a diverse team of skilled professionals in a modern digital product organization.
  • Explore new areas both in value creation and product discovery process.
  • Work iteratively and validate findings with customer or user minimum twice
  • Contribute to redefining the future of product discovery in a global industry leader.
