Technician Supercritical Co2
On-site | Full-time | Borås
Seeking a highly organized and motivated professional eager to drive innovation forward. Join us in scaling up a groundbreaking technology that is transforming the future of textile recycling!
Your mission at Renasens
You see a chemical process and instinctively want to understand it in detail; not just whether it works, but why. You will bring a methodical mindset and real attention to detail, taking full ownership of the cotton pre-treatment and dye removal workstream.
Responsibilities
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of the cotton pre‑treatment and dye removal development
- Design, run, and iterate on lab scale experiments from bench to pilot relevant conditions
- Independently execute a full suite of characterization techniques
- Process, analyze, and report data with the rigor needed for scale up decisions
- Refine experimental protocols and SOPs to ensure consistent, high‑quality results
- Contribute to an organized and clean lab environment
What you bring
- MSc or PhD in physical chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field; we particularly value candidates who combine fundamental understanding of dye‑fiber chemistry with hands‑on process development experience. Industry experience is a must.
- Understanding of the fundamentals in solvation thermodynamics, adsorption/desorption equilibria, kinetics, and mass transport is a merit.
- Experience with cellulose, dyes, polymers, or extraction processes is an advantage; bonus if it touches supercritical fluids or alternative solvents.
- Hands‑on lab experience; comfort moving between bench work and process thinking.
- Experimental design skills.
- Certification or specialized training in high‑pressure vessel operations and safety standards (such as PED – Pressure Equipment Directive).
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) or basic control systems for troubleshooting equipment anomalies.
Who you are
- Energized by problems; yours, your colleagues', the ones nobody asked you to solve yet. You don’t walk past a challenge, you walk toward it.
- Reliable & Independent; you take ownership and deliver on time without needing close supervision.
- Team over ego; you care more about collective wins than being right.
- Thrive in fast‑paced environments; you are energized by ambitious timelines and meaningful challenges.
- Translate depth into action, you go deep on mechanism when needed, but don’t get stuck there. You know when to stop characterizing and start deciding.
Great to have, but not required
- Experience with industrial dyeing chemistry.
- Previous experience in textile, fiber, or cellulose‑based recycling processes.
- Sub‑critical or supercritical experience.
- Experience translating lab results into pilot‑scale process design.
How we work at Renasens
Onsite & hands on: Our pilot plant is in Borås, with our headquarters in Stockholm. This role is based where the work happens; close to the lab and the pilot, not behind a laptop. Expect to spend most of your time on site running experiments and iterating with the team.
Small team, high ownership: We are around 10 people. You will own your workstream end‑to‑end and work directly with the R&D lead, process engineers and CEO. No layers, no committees.
Pace matters: We have pilot reception milestones in 2026 and customer commitments behind them. We move fast, decide with the data we have, and iterate.
