Technical Support Manager – Conveyor Accessories

We are now looking for a Global Technical Support Manager for a permanent employment in Malmö, Sweden.

The job aims at managing global business develop of our standard and future product range.

The job also includes managing to develop new products and solutions, improving existing product offering and maintaining the product standard range documentation. Also providing technical product and application support towards Business support & Market Areas.

Ability to travel internationally up to 25% with short notice and be flexible working across time zones.

As Global Technical Support Manager, you are responsible for

• Develop the business together with our sales channels for our global standard range
• Managing RTD and Engineering
• Product and application support
• Master data maintenance for the products
• Managing Product design and documentation of the standard product range

The Main Job Duties Are

• Work close together with our sales channels to identify and implement new ways of reaching out to the market.
• Manage and participate in RTD projects, from ideas all the way to product launch
• Manage the verification of ideas and concepts, through CAD, FEA, lab tests and field tests
• Provide application & technical support in terms of product selection, proposal/quotes, layout drawings warranty matters and claims
• Travel, both domestic and international, when required and sometimes with short notice
• Maintain the global standard range of documentation, including product specifications, design and PDM instructions
• Support Global Business support functions, Other PG, LCS & Project function, OEM and Pricing
• Supervise and evaluate test installations
• To carry out other work tasks, not defined in job duties, from time to time

You will report directly to Global Product Manager Conveyor Accessories, and you will interface internal and external with:

• Global Business support & Sales organizations and sub team for Metso defined areas such as Supply chain, other Product lines and Distributors
• Support and engineering organization within Metso
• External customers, suppliers and consultants

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• Interests in both business development and technical solutions/products
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar working experience5-10 years of relevant working experience
• Ability to develop and design new products and solutions
• Verbal and written communication skills, in English & Swedish
• To be analytical, organized, self-directed and creative
• Ability to act individually and supervise others in an international working environment
• Ability to develop and maintain strong trusting relationships and build networks
• Ability to travel, sometimes with short notice
• Driving license
• 3D-CAD & SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Experience of working with Teamcenter is an advantage
