Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer with project management experience to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives. You will coordinate design, quality, procurement, and production activities to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across projects.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2–7 years in product development as a Design Engineer with PM experience (Agile/Scrum preferred).
Proven ability to plan and drive technical deliverables to completion.
Experience with GD&T and automotive design standards.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional engineering and business initiatives, driving alignment, informed decision-making, and successful project delivery.
Act as the central coordination point between design, field quality, procurement, production, and external partners, ensuring progress, managing dependencies, delivering key milestones, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
Support daily design and engineering activities by enabling collaboration, fostering a high-performing team environment, and coordinating improvement initiatives.
Coordinate and follow up on test vehicle component activities, including monitoring project deviations and corrective actions.
Execute technical plans by assessing design partners, supporting client counterparts, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to maintain alignment across teams and contribute to successful project outcomes.
