Job summary

Brite Payments in Stockholm (Östermalm) or Malaga seeks a Technical Product Manager for Data Solutions to shape and execute our data offerings built on Open Banking. You will report to the Merchant Services Domain Lead and steer data-driven product strategies, identify revenue opportunities, and mentor PMs in a challenger fintech environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management in fintech/payments.
  • Thorough understanding of PSD2/AIS/Open Banking from technical and customer perspectives.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration (advanced degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated analytical leadership and ability to navigate ambiguity and drive buy-in.
  • Exceptional communication skills for complex data concepts across audiences.
  • Proven ability to identify, implement, and automate AI-driven workflows to boost team output.

Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate the roadmap for the Data Solutions team, aligning with Brite’s instant payment objectives.
  • Lead a team of engineers, provide direction, mentor other PMs, and deliver outstanding data products.
  • Identify new revenue streams and use cases leveraging Brite’s data assets for merchants.
  • Collaborate with Merchant Solutions, Marketing, and merchants to translate feedback into market-ready features.
  • Serve as primary contact for CXO executives with updates on strategy and progress.
  • Define and iterate ways of working to ensure delivery efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with connectivity teams for infrastructure maintenance and swift issue resolution.
  • Establish KPIs to drive continuous improvement and validate product hypotheses.
  • Act as a Brite ambassador at conferences and client meetings on Open Finance developments.

The Role

The Technical Product Manager for Data Solutions plays a critical role in shaping and executing the strategy for our Data Solution products. Reporting to the Merchant Services Domain Lead, you will be a key driver in building out our data offerings, ensuring product-market fit, and defining how we deliver best-in-class data products on the back of Open Banking and Open Finance. A primary focus will be identifying and executing on new revenue-generating opportunities and data-driven value propositions for our merchants.

You will balance technical depth in PSD2/AIS with the strategic leadership required to drive a "challenger" brand in a complex regulatory environment.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Vision: Define and articulate the roadmap for the Data Solutions team, aligning it with Brite’s overall instant payment objectives.
  • Execution & Leadership: Act as the functional lead for a team of highly skilled engineers, providing the day-to-day direction and vision required to deliver outstanding data products. You would also be expected to mentor other Product Managers to foster a culture of innovation and high performance.
  • Commercial Innovation: Proactively identify new revenue streams and use cases for our data solutions, leveraging Brite’s unique data assets to create high-value offerings for both existing and new merchants.
  • Commercial Collaboration: Work closely with Merchant Solutions, Marketing, and merchants themselves to translate their feedback into features and package products effectively for the market.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for CXO-level executives, providing regular updates on the Data Solution strategy, progress, and performance.
  • Process Excellence: Define and iterate on "ways of working" to ensure efficiency and accuracy in your team's delivery.
  • Operational Advocacy: Partner with dedicated connectivity teams for infrastructure maintenance, acting as the primary advocate for your product’s health and pushing for swift resolutions to technical blockers.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Establish and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and validate product hypotheses.
  • Evangelism: Act as a Brite ambassador at conferences and client meetings, staying at the forefront of Open Finance developments.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, specifically within fintech or payments; preferably building data related products.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Thorough understanding of PSD2, AIS, and Open Banking impacts from both a technical and customer perspective. You are comfortable navigating technical documentation and the codebase to grasp complex logic and troubleshoot data flows.
  • Education: B.Sc. or higher in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Analytical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, run validation tests, and create buy-in across a growing organization.
  • Communication: Exceptional skills in conveying complex technical data ideas to diverse audiences.
  • AI Integration & Optimization: Proven ability to identify, implement, and automate workflows using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, image gen, or specialized agents) to demonstrably increase individual and team output.
