Nordiska is seeking a confident and engaging Team Lead Backoffice to lead a team focused on quality, operational excellence and collaboration.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, handle card-related cases and transactions, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive improvements across the card issuing, credit cards and payments landscape. This role combines hands-on leadership with people management and strategic contributions within the Backoffice function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the Backoffice team through regular feedback, one-to-one meetings and team meetings.
  • Perform administrative backoffice tasks and manage card-related cases and transactions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners within the card and payments ecosystem.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulations related to card issuing, credit cards and payments.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance the customer and partner experience.
  • Manage escalated operational issues, support complex case resolution and contribute to building a high-performing and engaged team.

About the Role

As Team Lead Backoffice, you will lead and develop a team with a strong focus on quality, operational excellence and collaboration. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring the team achieves its goals and KPIs while continuously improving processes and ways of working.

The role combines hands-on operational responsibility with people leadership. You will coach and support your team through regular one-to-one meetings and team sessions, manage escalated cases and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive improvements across the business. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening and developing the Backoffice function.

It is meritorious if you have
  • Experience working with card issuing, card operations, or payment services.
  • Knowledge of card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard, or related areas such as fraud prevention or AML.
  • Experience within banking, credit operations, payments, or embedded finance.
  • Knowledge of Norwegian and/or Danish, as the role includes collaboration across the Nordic markets.
