Job description

Brocc is a specialised credit institution backed by strong institutional investors, combining a long heritage in consumer finance with expertise in non-performing loan (NPL) acquisitions, restructurings and structured credit investments. Following a series of acquisitions and strategic investments, Brocc has evolved into a pan-European credit platform spanning more than 15 European countries, combining traditional banking activities with investments in NPL portfolios and structured credit platforms.

As our international footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Group Tax team in Stockholm.

You will join at an exciting stage of growth and help shape a developing in-house tax function. You will work across multiple jurisdictions, support strategic business initiatives and gain exposure to a wide range of international structures, including SPVs, holding companies, investment platforms and regulated financial services businesses.

You will report directly to the Head of Tax and work closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal, local corporate service providers and external tax advisors across Europe.

What You'll Do

You will take ownership of Brocc's international tax compliance, ensuring that filings, payments and reporting obligations are managed accurately and on time in every jurisdiction.

Alongside the compliance calendar, you will gain broad exposure to international corporate taxation, VAT, transfer pricing and cross-border tax matters while supporting acquisitions, integrations and restructuring projects across the group.

In practice, that means:
  • Coordinate and oversee corporate income tax compliance across multiple European jurisdictions
  • Review and challenge tax filings, payments and reporting obligations prepared by local advisors and service providers
  • Manage compliance for corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes and other local tax reporting requirements
  • Maintain a reliable overview of tax deadlines, filings and compliance status across the group
  • Coordinate responses to tax audits, tax authority enquiries and information requests
  • Support tax governance and risk management, including transfer pricing compliance and documentation across the group
  • Support tax workstreams in acquisitions, integrations and group restructuring projects
  • Build and improve tax processes, controls and ways of working as the Group Tax function continues to grow
Who You Are

You are comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and managing a broad range of stakeholders. You combine strong technical skills with a pragmatic and structured approach and enjoy building efficient processes in a growing international organisation.

More specifically, you bring:
  • A university degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Law
  • At least 5 years of experience from a tax advisory firm, accounting firm or an in-house tax or finance function
  • Practical experience in corporate income tax and international tax compliance, plus exposure to VAT, withholding taxes and other cross-border tax matters
  • Experience working with external advisors, corporate service providers and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organisational, project management and analytical skills, with a structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach and a close eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills in English
What Success Looks Like

In your first year, you will have:

  • Established a clear overview of tax compliance obligations across all jurisdictions and delivered filings, payments and reporting on time and without surprises
  • Built strong working relationships with local advisors and service providers
  • Kept transfer pricing documentation and compliance processes current and well-organised, and contributed to tax workstreams in acquisitions, integrations and restructuring projects
  • Helped develop a scalable Group Tax function with robust processes and clear ownership
Why Brocc?

We're a lean team backed by Cerberus Capital Management, with teams in Stockholm, Helsinki and London, and operations across 15 European markets. You'll join at a pivotal moment in our growth, with real ownership of your area, close collaboration with senior management and the chance to shape a growing in-house tax function rather than inherit a finished one. We move fast and we value people who take initiative. We offer competitive compensation and flexible working arrangements.
