Job summary

Konecranes Lift Trucks is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to turn customer needs into reliable machine functions. You will own functional requirements, define interfaces, and work with Product Management to achieve strong alignment across lift truck products.

You will collaborate across engineering, safety, testing, supply and service in a global technology environment, with opportunities to influence product development and learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Several years of R&D and systems engineering experience in an international environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechatronics, control systems, mechanical or electrical).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work cross-functionally within and outside the Lift Trucks organization.
• Ability to see the broad picture as well as the details.
• Independent, trustworthy and mature attitude with willingness to challenge existing methods.
• Curiosity, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn and develop with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own functional requirement specification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define functionalities.
• Lead system requirements analysis within Machine Functions.
• Define interfaces to meet product requirements and ensure strong functional alignment across lift truck products.
• Support test scenario definition with verification, validation and machine safety specialists.
• Define sub-system integration and verification needs.
• Contribute to Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Coordinate information sharing with supply and service functions.
• Regularly report progress and propose improvements.
