Job summary

VOLVO BUSSAR AB is seeking a disciplined Electrical/Software engineer to lead the End User Function (EUF) requirements for functional safety. You will analyze use-case needs, develop a function roadmap, and coordinate with stakeholders to secure commitments on EUF maturity and verification plans.

You should have a BSc/MSc in electrical or software engineering, understanding of vehicle diagnostics, and hands-on experience with TARA and HARA, ISO 26262, plus a network within Volvo Group.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and safety standards required.
• Experience with TARA and HARA methodologies essential.
• ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze function needs from use case, technology development, project prerequisites, features and regulations
• Specify EUF in terms of customer needs and wanted system behavior covering all variations in the products
• Review, handshake and secure commitment with all stakeholders for the End User Function Requirements
• Lead the work for the function regarding functional Safety
• Contribute and participate in development of the functions Verification & Validation together with the verification engineer
• Function roadmap, short and long term
• Report and communicate the EUF maturity, progress and status
• Establish a function delivery plan including verification and validation plan
