Job summary

A growing System Engineering company in Sweden is seeking a Functional Safety / System Design Engineer to join an Agile team working on critical software for a leading truck manufacturer. The role focuses on ensuring ASIL-D compliance under ISO 26262. You will collaborate with product owners and architects and define functional safety requirements, perform analysis, and maintain documentation. Ideal candidates should possess strong knowledge in Functional Safety and experience with SystemWeaver.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
• Experience with requirement and architecture management tools.
• Analytical and documentation skills required.
• Previous SM (scm) experience meritorious.

Responsibilities

• Define and document functional safety requirements according to ISO 26262.
• Perform FMEA and FTA analyses and document reports.
• Allocate requirements within the software architecture.
• Prepare and maintain the Safety Case ensuring completeness and compliance.

We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer with strong System Design experience to join an small Agile team working on a critical software function for a major industry-leading truck manufacturer. This role is focuses on achieving ASIL-D compliance for a certain safety function. You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure functional safety according to ISO 26262. The team will work in an agile environment, following customers processes and templates, and deliver high-quality safety documentation and verification results.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document functional safety requirements according to ISO 26262.
