Job Summary:
We are looking for an Android Automotive System Architect to lead root-cause investigations, re-architecture and technical decisions across Bluetooth connectivity , media, audio, CarPlay and Android Auto . You will address gaps in requirements, testing and diagnostics while guiding development and escalations. The role requires excellent communication, collaboration, ownership and confident decision-making, including aligning teams and partners, proactively delivering high-quality solutions and giving and receiving constructive code reviews.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and related engineering field .
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead root-cause investigations and drive re-architecture and technical decisions across Bluetooth connectivity, media, audio, CarPlay, and Android Auto.
- Trace faults through the application, framework, native, vendor, firmware, hardware, and vehicle-integration layers, focusing on root causes rather than workarounds.
- Examine existing architecture and recommend pragmatic re-architecture as a technical point of escalation.
- Address gaps in requirements, testing, and diagnostics while guiding development teams.
- Align teams and external partners, and proactively deliver high-quality solutions.
- Give and receive constructive code reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of strong experience in Android Automotive domain .
- Experience of protocol-level sniffing and fault tracing for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet .
- Experience in relevant technologies and tools including Gerrit, Git, C/C++, Android Automotive OS, sniffing tools such as Frontline and Wireshark, BLE, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and audio.
- Capability to examine an existing architecture and recommend pragmatic re-architecture, with sufficient seniority to serve as the technical point of escalation.
- Well-developed practical knowledge of Bluetooth connectivity , including pairing, automatic connection, reconnection, and multiple devices.
- Knowledge of Android and Android Automotive OS architecture for Bluetooth, media, telephony, and audio, and how CarPlay and Android Auto interact with Bluetooth and vehicle audio.
- Capability to trace faults through the application, framework, native, vendor, firmware, hardware, and vehicle-integration layers, with experience leading investigations to determine root causes.
- An architectural understanding of Wi-Fi, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, and related vehicle-networking technologies, including integration and fault tracing.
