Job summary

Stora Enso in Skoghall is seeking a Business Controller to lead controlling across the area of responsibility, partnering with operations and sales to drive profitability and investment governance. The role requires strong financial governance, analytical insight, and cross-functional leadership in a global context.

You will own planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, enabling data-driven decisions and continuous improvement across production and supply chain.

Qualifications

• University degree (Masters) in Business Administration, Industrial Management or similar.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong indirect/cross-functional leadership and management skills.
• Proven track record of proactive approach and accountability.
• Experience from project work is essential; project management is an advantage.
• 4A mindset: ambition, agility, analytical approach, accountability.
• Understanding of IFRS and fundamental financial principles.
• Experience from controlling in an international group environment.
• Knowledge of modeling scenarios, simulation, optimization, and business support.
• Experience with OneStream and ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the finance business partner to operational leadership to support decision‑making.
• Partner with sales, operations, and supply chain for daily and tactical decisions.
• Provide profitability analyses to steer business and understand drivers.
• Challenge assumptions and govern financial aspects of investments.
• Prepare business case calculations and support BU capex processes.
• Act as a backup for BU Controller.
• Monitor production performance, analyze yield, efficiency and unit costs.
• Conduct variance analysis and explain deviations vs. forecast.
• Lead forecasting and drive transparency of risks and opportunities.
• Drive data-driven and automated decision processes in area of responsibility.
