Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Service Maintenance Technician to join our team in Gavle and oversee our Nordic project portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of sprinkler equipment and fire protection systems critical to the production process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Fire protection service maintenance technician in a construction, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of sprinkler systems, including Pumps, Compressors/Nitrogen Generators, Alarm valves, and piping systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and techniques to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to facilitate equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on sprinkler/mechanical equipment, including but not limited to Pumps, Compressors, Nitrogen generators and Alarm Valves.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose mechanical problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to uphold equipment reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
• Document maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance reports, to maintain accurate records and track equipment performance.
• Participate in safety programs and adhere to established safety protocols to promote a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
