PinMeTo, based in Malmö, Sweden, maintains a platform that manages location data across multiple channels. The Platform team operates the PinMeTo Platform, focusing on reliability, security, and data correctness while supporting full-stack development.
We seek an experienced software engineer with strong AWS, CI/CD, and database skills who enjoys both backend and frontend work. You will join a collaborative team that values learning, pair programming, and high-impact contributions in a diverse,
PinMeTo helps large multi-location companies manage their business information across hundreds of online services, through a SaaS platform that puts businesses in control of their location data and lets them manage online interactions with customers. Our offering is a set of web applications developed internally by our Product department, headquartered in Malmö, Sweden.
The Platform team owns and operates the PinMeTo Platform: the products that manage location data for our customers' physical locations, and the integrations that keep that data in sync across the search, maps, and social platforms customers rely on (Google, Apple, Meta, Bing). We're primarily an operational team. Keeping the platform running, healthy, and within its service commitments is the core of the job, ahead of building new features. Security, availability, and data correctness come first, since we're the system of record for our customers' location data.
We're looking to strengthen the team with an experienced software engineer who can work across a wide range of problems: AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, database clusters, third-party API integrations, and full-stack application development.
Join a great work environment built on people and collaboration - we work together from the office in small teams, with a strong work/life balance and lots of opportunity to learn from a diverse group of colleagues and a culture where helping each other succeed is highly valued.
You will be part of a team of highly skilled engineers who prioritize working together over someone handing out tasks. This collaborative approach gives everyone on the team the chance to both learn from each other and influence the team. You will have ample opportunity to shape both the team and the work you do, letting you maximize your impact and personal long term growth.
The team's responsibilities span infrastructure, security and compliance, developer experience, day-to-day operations, and incident response, plus ownership of shared applications for user authentication and authorization. That means exposure to the full range of the job, including the less visible parts: triaging reported issues, handling third-party outages we didn't cause but are still accountable for, and meeting external deadlines. That variety is also where the learning happens.
7 days: Your first week will be focused on getting to know your team and our system, setting up your development environment, and pushing your first (small) change to production. Your onboarding buddy and your team will be supporting you from day 1, making sure that you get started as smoothly as possible.
30 days: Continuing in your first month you will focus on learning about our codebase, products, and infrastructure while participating in whatever initiative the team is working on, pair working as much as possible with your teammates to contribute to what is being delivered. During this time we also encourage you to spend time learning the parts of our tech stack that you might not have previous experience with.
90 days: A quarter in you should be able to apply your previous experience to the specific context of your team and what you are working on together, thereby increasing your impact by contributing to everything from technical decisions to how the team works. You will also be able to take ownership of driving larger tasks to completion.
365 days: By this time your contribution to the team is indistinguishable from that of the other software engineers that you work together with. You will have been able to leverage your strengths and experience to become proficient with work that you are used to, and together with the team you will have learned the things that were new to you at the beginning.
