A global energy technology leader is seeking a software engineer to join their HVDC Control & Protection team in Ludvika, Sweden. This role involves maintaining and developing software for high voltage direct current systems, with opportunities for remote work. The opportunity to enable the green energy transition by building customized embedded control systems comprising software and hardware to meet customers\' and the world\'s needs for sustainable, flexible, and secure energy. The role supports HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology for long-distance energy transmission, improving energy transfer efficiency and grid stability. You will be part of Hitachi Energy\'s Global HVDC Control & Protection Software team, which covers Converter Control, Protection, System Solutions, Sequence & Interlocking, System Supervision & System Communication, Auxiliary Power Systems and Simulation & Verification, with interfaces to other domains such as Control & Protection, IT/OT, Hardware and Operations. This is a hybrid role with the possibility to work remotely where applicable and agreed with the hiring manager.
