Job description

Are you passionate about APIs, thrive on bringing structure and efficiency to team workflows, and ready to shape the future of API management? Join us to work with cutting-edge technology, drive innovation, and take your skills to the next level!

Join our dynamic team at Tele2, where Digital Capabilities & Technology (DCT) is the engine behind our products and services. As the essential enabler of our commercial ambitions, DCT brings automation and simplicity to the telecommunications industry, revolutionizing the way we connect and communicate. Within our organization, you’ll find everything from the backbone infrastructure of technology and IT systems, serving both our external & internal customers, to advanced analytics, AI creation, and frontend development. Our team plays a vital role in ensuring reliable and premium services through delivering exceptional experiences to our end customers, both Consumer and Enterprises, all the while supporting our colleagues within Tele2.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be an integral part of the API Team, enabling customers to access Tele2 services via APIs from various frontend channels. Our mission is to deliver an exceptional experience for both consumer and business customers by providing the necessary data they need. We offer services that allow data to be consumed by other applications and systems, managing these services from start to finish. Beyond just technical delivery, you'll also be instrumental in helping us refine our processes, ensure our work is well-organized, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team. Our team operates within the Microsoft stack, fostering a culture where teamwork and inclusion are paramount.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing and maintaining APIs built in .NET
  • Managing and maintaining Azure API Management
  • Communicating and supporting numerous stakeholders as a central component
  • Providing specialist support across the organization for API management
  • Sharing your expertise with the team and learning new skills from others
  • Adhering to patterns that promote robust services and continuously improving the team’s capabilities
  • Actively contributing to and refining team processes, workflows, and best practices to enhance clarity and efficiency.
  • Helping to organize and prioritize team initiatives, ensuring a structured approach to problem-solving and delivery.
What we look for:

We are a collaborative team that works closely with other backend and frontend teams to coordinate our efforts. Maintaining strong relationships with architects and being able to navigate unclear information to create our own requirements is crucial. Beyond technical prowess, you possess a keen eye for detail and a drive to bring structure and clarity to complex problems and workflows. You are comfortable taking initiative in organizing team activities and ensuring that projects progress in a well-planned manner.

To be successful in this role and a good fit for our team, you should have a strong ambition to develop new functionalities while managing and maintaining existing solutions.

To thrive in this role, we believe that you have:
  • At least some years of experience in API development using .NET
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of Docker, deploy pipelines, and Kubernetes terminology
  • Some experience with JavaScript/React for working with Backstage
  • Basic knowledge of security concepts (encryption with keys, SSL/TLS, HTTPS)
  • A proactive, curious and organization-minded approach to problem-solving and team collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvement, workflow optimization, or team organization within a software development context.
A few words from the manager

In our diverse team, we have an open atmosphere where everyone’s opinions are equally important. We believe that innovative ideas come from tight collaboration and culture and that makes us grow, both individually and as a team.

We are an autonomic team that encourages each other to be brave, and we have ownership of our code and take responsibility for our work from start to end; This ownership extends to how we organize and execute our work, and we value initiative in identifying and implementing improvements to our collective processes. However in-between it is room for laughs and to have fun, while efficiency always is in focus.

Why Tele2
