Sjuksköterska / NephroCare Dialysis Nurse
Vi söker sjuksköterska till Dialysklinik i Trelleborg. Verksamheten startade i maj 2009 och bedrivs i nyrenoverade lokaler på Trelleborgs lasarettsområdet. Vi söker dig som är beredd att ta egna initiativ med ett stort eget ansvar och som vill arbeta för en privat vårdgivare. Erfarenhet av arbete med dialys meriteras.

Responsibilities
- Caring for patients in accordance with doctor’s orders, dialysis nursing standards, internal company standards, and aims to promote patients’ health and quality of life.
- Evaluate patient condition before, during, and after dialysis and inform the doctor of significant changes in general health status, weight, heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and other relevant parameters.
- Comply with safety, hygiene, and infection control regulations; follow good dialysis care guidelines and hygiene practices.
- Assist with connection and disconnection of the patient and manage anticoagulation during treatment per prescription.
- Monitor patient during treatment and notify the doctor of changes requiring intervention.
- Manage central venous catheters appropriately.
- Advise patients on health matters such as nutrition, hygiene, and fistula care.
- Assist with stopping bleeding after dialysis if necessary and take blood samples for laboratory tests.
- Perform necessary interventions and resuscitation measures in emergencies.
- Prepare meals for patients when needed and assess patients on arrival and departure from the dialysis unit.
- Prepare beds or chairs and dispense medicines and anticoagulants as required.
- Check availability and suitability of disposable parts, disinfectants, and materials at the dialysis station; transport supplies from storage as needed.
- Supervise and/or perform collection of non-medical and medical waste according to hygiene practices.
- Use dialysis machines: start, disinfect, connect, test, and ensure proper operation; report abnormalities to the clinic manager.
- Set treatment parameters according to doctor’s prescription and handle system startup/shutdown, including water systems when necessary.
- Document treatments in accordance with current practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues: support and guide other nurses and inform the team for the next shift.
- Peritoneal dialysis tasks (if applicable): instruct patients on hygiene, nutrition, and basics of CAPD and APD; initiate and support treatment, monitor patient condition, and ensure hygiene in the PD treatment room.
- Document PD-related data (BP, pulse, edema, temperature, diuresis, weight, ultrafiltration) and manage lab samples and test results as instructed by the doctor.
Qualifications
- Experience with dialysis is meritorious; willingness to take initiative and work with a private care provider.
- Good knowledge of English is preferred (business language of the group).
