Job description

Micvac is a single point of contact for all technical support related to our system, and that is why we are looking for a Service & Support Engineer. As a Service & Support Engineer at Micvac you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our unique food processing technology at customer sites across the globe and take ownership of hands-on technical service and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out on-site machine installations, upgrades, and rebuilds at customer facilities, ensuring smooth integration and reliable performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and urgent service tasks hands-on, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime and keeping customers’ production running.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the production process on customer side and help them to streamline it to achieve highest possible efficiency with our system.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for our customers both remote and on-site when it comes to technical issues and questions (from mechanic to software)
  • Deliver practical training by showing customer teams how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Micvac equipment in real working conditions.
  • Become a master user of our equipment and technology to support recipe development on the customer side and support our customers in optimizing their process.
  • Perform replacement of worn parts at customers sites and provide recommendation of spare parts to have onsite to minimize the downtime risk.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, sourcing, product development) to feedback field insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company guidelines during all service activities.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Solid technical understanding and hands-on experience with maintenance and support
  • Willingness and availability to travel internationally as part of the role (up to 40% of time) primarily within Europe
  • Process Engineer background is a big plus
  • Experience in industrial food processing is advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Good communication skills in English is a must for interacting with customers and providing training, Spanish or Swedish language is a plus
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, or maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Basic understanding of control systems and industrial automation
  • Customer-oriented mindset and ability to act as an ambassador for Micvac’s technology
