Job summary

Galderma in Uppsala, Sweden is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to own the long-term performance of manufacturing systems and equipment. You will analyse performance data, lead root-cause investigations and define asset lifecycle strategies to boost reliability and efficiency.

Grow with us.Your missionAs a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability and long-term performance of manufacturing systems and equipment across our operations.Using data, engineering expertise and structured problem solving, you will identify improvement opportunities, assess equipment and asset lifecycles, and support decisions on maintenance strategies, upgrades and future investments.This is a senior role that requires a high degree of ownership and initiative. You are comfortable working independently, building strong relationships across functions and driving improvements from idea through to implementation.You will join a team of experienced engineers who play an important role in supporting operational excellence and the continued development of our Uppsala site.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive reliability engineering initiatives across manufacturing operations, systems and equipment.· Analyse performance data, identify risks and lead root cause investigations to improve reliability and operational performance.· Develop and implement strategies for asset lifecycle management, maintenance optimisation and long-term equipment reliability.· Support investment decisions through data-driven recommendations on upgrades, replacements and future technologies.· Collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Production, Automation, QA and Facilities to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.Promote reliability-focused ways of working and support the organisation through knowledge sharing and best practice development.Your profileYou are an experienced engineer with a background in reliability, maintenance, asset management or technical project leadership within a larger industrial environment.You are comfortable working with complex technical challenges and understand how to translate data into practical actions and long-term improvements. Equally important, you take ownership, build trust with stakeholders and thrive in an environment where initiative and collaboration are valued.What you'll bringA university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.Extensive experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, asset management, technical project management or a similar engineering role within a larger industrial organisation.Experience analysing equipment performance, identifying root causes and implementing long-term improvements.Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, maintenance strategies and operational reliability.Experience from a regulated manufacturing environment is highly valued.Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt) is an advantage.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.Location and otherThis position is based in Uppsala, SwedenWhy GaldermaAt Galderma, you'll have the opportunity to work in a science-driven, innovative, and collaborative environment where quality and patient impact are at the center of everything we do.
