Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Sweden seeks a Senior Tender Manager to shape bid strategies for large HVDC projects and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams from pursuit to contract signing.

You will translate customer requirements into competitive end‑to‑end solutions, aligning technical, commercial and risk aspects to win complex tenders. Based in Ludvika or Västerås, you will lead a cross‑functional Bid & Proposals team, interact with customers and stakeholders, and uphold Hitachi Energy’s values

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale tenders and complex bids.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders in English.
• Structured approach to guiding tender processes through to contract.
• Knowledge of HVDC or related tech is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Bid & Proposals team of experts from pursuit to signing.
• Translate customer requirements into competitive end-to-end solutions.
• Shape and drive the tender strategy across technical, commercial and pricing aspects.

As a Senior Tender Manager, you will shape and execute bid strategies for large, complex HVDC pursuits, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and shaping solutions that bring together capabilities from across the Hitachi Energy portfolio. Last year alone, our department secured 5 HVDC projects across the NEU region, giving our team a direct role in shaping Hitachi Energy's business pipeline. How You'll Make An Impact

• You will be leading a Bid & Proposal team of technical, commercial, legal, tax and insurance experts from early pursuit stage to contract signing and execution handover.
• Interpret customer requirements and translate them into a competitive end-to-end solution based on Hitachi Energy’s portfolio.
• You will shape and drive the overall tender strategy, aligning technical solutions, commercial positioning, pricing, risk and customer priorities.
• Enjoy working on complex tenders from both technical and commercial perspectives and thrive in a high-performing international environment.
• You will lead customer interactions, clarifications and commercial negotiations, building strong relationships throughout the tender process.
• Demonstrate Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and supporting your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Experience in large-scale system sales and tendering, or in managing large projects.
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Business, Technical, or a related field.
• Technical and commercial experience with HVDC, or similar technologies, is an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and a structured approach are important for guiding the tendering team through complex challenges.
• You are a strong communicator who works effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You are fluent in written and spoken English.
