Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight in Gothenburg is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to champion end-user documentation for our crew management software. You will work with developers, UX, product managers, and aviation SMEs to translate complex workflows into clear guidance.

You will modernize content operations, advocate for the end user, and explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate drafting while preserving accuracy.

Qualifications

5+ years of technical writing experience for complex enterprise software.
Strong DITA XML expertise and CCMS experience.
Hands-on with authoring and publishing tools (Oxygen, FrameMaker, WebWorks).
Strong aptitude with AI tools to support content workflows.
Experience with legacy content migrations to DITA XML.
Experience in Agile software development; collaboration with UX, engineers, product managers.

Responsibilities

End-User-Centric Authoring: Create, curate, and maintain intuitive customer- and internal-facing documentation.
AI Tool Integration & Innovation: Apply AI technologies to optimize drafting and terminology consistency.
Content Migration & Architecture: Analyze legacy content for migration to topic-based DITA XML.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with UX, product management, engineering, and aviation SMEs.
Structured Information Design: Author modular DITA content for single-sourcing and multi-channel delivery.
Workflow & Standards Modernization: Improve documentation for AI readiness and delivery.
End-User Advocacy & Mentorship: Share best practices with the writing team.
Collaborate with the global documentation team to improve quality.
