Job summary

Aurora Engineering AB in Gothenburg is seeking an experienced Substance & Chemical Compliance Engineer to lead regulatory conformity across the product lifecycle and advise on chemical stewardship. You will interpret REACH, RoHS, TSCA, CLP and related frameworks, translate them into practical technical solutions, and collaborate with engineering, purchasing, supplier quality and sustainability teams.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of chemical regulations (REACH, RoHS, TSCA, CLP, POPs).
Experience translating regulations into technical requirements.
Experience reviewing supplier declarations and technical data sheets.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Act as SME for substance, material, and chemical compliance.
Assess regulatory impact of existing and emerging legislation.
Interpret regulations and apply to product development and materials.
Review supplier declarations, material data, and technical documentation.
Support product declarations and conformity assessments.
Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, supplier quality, manufacturing and sustainability.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on products and processes.
Identify and drive safer, more sustainable material alternatives.
