Job summary

Jobtailor in Sweden seeks a senior Regulatory Compliance professional to lead the global material compliance program. You will translate evolving regulations (REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Prop 65) into practical company-wide procedures and drive cross-functional initiatives with R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Legal.

Responsibilities include managing data, supplier declarations, risk assessments, audits and reporting, while maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 6–10+ years in product compliance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or supply chain.
• In-depth knowledge of global material compliance regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Prop 65 and TSCA.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to read, interpret, and convert evolving environmental regulations into practical procedures.
• Experience with supplier engagement and collecting compliance data.
• Familiarity with PLM systems, SAP (Material Data Management), and compliance software like Assent or GreenSoft.
• Strong written and verbal communication; English required; Swedish or Mandarin preferred.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
• Self-driven team player in international environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with global material compliance legislation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and implement the material compliance strategy and processes.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance compliance and reduce risks.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess business impacts, and translate requirements into internal policies and actions.
• Manage material and substance data, supplier declarations, compliance assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support supplier qualification, new product development, customer inquiries, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Prepare compliance statements, maintain audit-ready documentation, and contribute to sustainability reporting.
• Manage external compliance service providers and facilitate material compliance networks and training activities.
• Keep management informed of regulatory changes, risks, and program progress.
