Job summary

Fountain is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to own reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of the platform. You will partner with Engineering, Security, and Product to build resilient infrastructure and raise observability and incident response standards.

You will design and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure on EKS, manage AWS footprint with a security-first mindset, and contribute to CD/GitOps improvements. Remote-friendly role with global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site reliability engineering experience.
• Experience owning reliability for production systems—defining SLOs or error budgets.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes/Helm on EKS in production.
• Experience with Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, etc).
• Experience with CI/CD or GitOps deployment patterns.
• Led or significantly contributed to incident response and postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve platform reliability (SLOs/SLIs) and production readiness.
• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Operate and evolve AWS footprint with a security-first mindset.
• Improve CD/GitOps practices (ArgoCD) and deployment safety.
• Build autoscaling strategies for services and workloads.
• Lead incident response: on-call, triage, and postmortems.
• Strengthen observability with metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with application teams to reduce toil and improve ops maturity.
