Job summary

Neo4j is seeking an Site Reliability Engineer to improve reliability for Neo4j Aura at global scale. You will build automation, reduce toil, and design for resilience across Kubernetes clusters and cloud deployments.

The role emphasizes codifying SRE practices, establishing SLIs/SLOs, and collaborating with product teams to ship reliable services. Hybrid work model and strong observability focus are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience writing backend tooling in Go or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles and error budgets.
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, tracing).
• Proficient in Kubernetes administration and cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and IaC (Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Automate for insight and scale across thousands of Neo4j Aura instances.
• Treat operations as a software problem with codified playbooks and tooling.
• Design for resilience and incident response with blameless postmortems.
• Define and act on SLIs/SLOs to improve reliability.
• Build an observability stack to surface meaningful signals.
