Job summary

SEB is undergoing modernisation across its banking platforms, data and customer lifecycle capabilities. We seek an experienced architect to balance long-term target architecture with pragmatic delivery, unify master data and ensure accountability across legal entities.

You will collaborate with business and technology partners, adopting AI-assisted approaches to improve architecture, design, and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a solution architect, domain architect, or enterprise architect in complex transformation environments.
• Ability to understand and manage complexity, identify opportunities for simplification, and ensure clear architectural accountability.
• Experience in customer lifecycle management, KYC, onboarding, master data, compliance, or core banking transformation.
• Ability to balance long‑term target architecture with pragmatic delivery needs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate architectural options and explain implications to stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset and seniority to challenge constructively when needed.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to improve engineering, operations or automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural direction and translate target architecture into actionable decisions, transition roadmaps and guidance for delivery teams.
• Drive the modernisation and simplification of the customer master data landscape, including coexistence, consolidation and transition from legacy solutions.
• Ensure that architectural decisions reflect clear ownership, accountability and legal-entity responsibility.
• Enable a consistent customer view within SEB AB across a landscape with multiple CRM solutions.
• Contribute to the architecture and integration of adjacent master data capabilities, such as Fund Master, ensuring clear domain boundaries, ownership and accountability.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align architectural decisions across domains and delivery teams.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve architectural analysis, solution design and documentation.
• Explore opportunities for AI-enabled capabilities within Customer Lifecycle Management, while ensuring clear data ownership, accountability and regulatory compliance.

About The Role

You will play a key role in modernising a complex banking landscape, balancing long-term architectural direction with practical transformation needs. To thrive in this role, we believe you have

• Extensive experience working as a solution architect, domain architect, or enterprise architect in complex transformation environments.
• The ability to understand and manage complexity, identify opportunities for simplification, and ensure clear architectural accountability.
• Experience from areas such as customer lifecycle management, KYC, onboarding, master data, compliance, or core banking transformation.
• The ability to balance long‑term target architecture with pragmatic delivery needs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to develop and evaluate architectural options, explain their implications and recommend well‑founded solutions to both business and technology stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset and the seniority to challenge constructively when needed.
• Experience using AI‑powered tools to improve engineering, operations or automation workflows, either professionally or through personal projects.

Additional experience that would be valuable

• Customer master data and customer relationship lifecycle architecture.
• Previous experience as a technical lead or senior software engineer.
• Banking or another highly regulated environment.
