Job summary

Toptracer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong platform mindset to build software, services, tooling, and automation powering Toptracer’s global technology platform.

You will work at the intersection of backend development, distributed systems, infrastructure and operations, writing Python code, building APIs and internal services, and creating automation to operate complex infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience, with focus on Python
• Experience designing and building maintainable services, APIs, tooling, and automation
• Several years developing software for Linux environments
• Experience with Kubernetes in self-managed or on‑premises environments
• Experience with containerized applications and Docker
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines for Linux environments
• Good understanding of infrastructure automation and software-to-platform interactions
• Experience designing scalable operational tooling and automation workflows
• Ability to understand large distributed systems and component interactions
• Interest in software architecture while remaining hands‑on with coding
• Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and long‑term scalability
• Strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills, including mentoring

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services, APIs, tools, and automation in Python
• Solve infrastructure and operational challenges through software
• Build systems to manage and operate large-scale Kubernetes environments
• Improve developer experience and remove bottlenecks
• Design scalable automation for deployment, provisioning, and lifecycle management
• Contribute to software and platform architecture
• Work with distributed systems spanning software, infrastructure, and devices
• Help shape deployment strategies and engineering practices
• Collaborate with engineers across software, infrastructure, and operations
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge across the team
