Toptracer in Stockholm/Danderyd seeks a Senior Software Engineer with a platform mindset to build software, services, tools, and automation powering Toptracer’s global technology platform.
You will work at the intersection of backend development, distributed systems, infrastructure, and operations, coding in Python, designing APIs, and improving deployment and provisioning in large Kubernetes environments.
Qualifications
- Strong backend development experience, especially Python.
- Experience building maintainable services, APIs, tooling, and automation.
- Multiple years developing software for Linux environments.
- Proficient with Kubernetes in self-managed or on-prem scenarios.
- Experience with Docker and containerized apps.
- Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines for Linux.
- Understanding infrastructure automation and software-to-platform interactions.
- Ability to design scalable operational tooling and automation workflows.
- Comfort with large distributed systems spanning software & infrastructure.
- Interest in architectural decisions and long-term scalability.

The Software Operations team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong platform mindset to build the software, services, tools, and automation that power Toptracer’s global technology platform.
This is a software engineering role at the intersection of backend development, distributed systems, infrastructure, and operations. You will spend a significant part of your time designing and writing software in Python, building APIs and internal services, developing automation, and creating tools that make complex infrastructure easier to operate at scale.
Our platform includes large-scale Kubernetes environments running primarily on self-managed and on-premises infrastructure. You don't need to think of yourself as a traditional infrastructure engineer. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving infrastructure and operational challenges through software.
Together with the team, you will design and develop systems that remove operational bottlenecks, improve developer productivity, automate deployment and provisioning, and enable Toptracer to scale worldwide.
You will have the opportunity to influence architecture and technical direction while remaining hands-on with code. You will work closely with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and operations teams and help bridge the gap between application development and the environments where our software runs.

- Ability to understand large distributed systems and how components interact across software and infrastructure
- An interest in software architecture combined with a desire to remain hands-on with coding
- Ability to contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and long-term scalability
- Strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills, including mentoring and supporting other engineers
- Experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience defining and implementing automated testing strategies
- Experience working in agile software development teams
- Experience with coordination or Scrum Master responsibilities
- Experience with GitOps and tools such as Argo CD
- Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-based and distributed systems
