Swedium Global Services is looking for Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer – IoT & Cloud Native Platform

We are now looking for a Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment at our customer in the development of connected products and digital services. The assignment is located in Huskvarna and involves a key role in a team that develops and manages central IoT and connectivity services for a global business.

You will be part of a team with overall responsibility for the development, testing, commissioning, operation and further development of modern, cloud-based platform services. The role combines operational development with technical leadership and offers great opportunities to influence both architecture and long-term technical direction.

As a
Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer, you will strengthen the team's technical capabilities and contribute to long-term ownership of the platform's solutions. The role includes both hands-on development and support to the team through technical guidance, mentoring and architectural decisions.

Among other things, you will:

• Contribute operationally in development primarily with TypeScript, Go and Java.
• Provide technical leadership within the team.
• Coach and support developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Take responsibility for technical solutions together with the team.
• Drive long-term technical decisions and help the team make conscious technical trade-offs.
• Collaborate closely with the Service Architect, Product Owner and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and operate distributed, event-driven, and cloud-based microservices.
• Work with APIs, IoT-related technologies, and event-based communication.
• Contribute to DevOps work, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, testing, operations, and maintenance.
• Improve the scalability, reliability, observability, and manageability of the platform.
• Strengthen your team's skills in SQL, Golang, gRPC, and high-performance distributed systems, among others.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture characterized by responsibility, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Experience

• Solid experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Architect or equivalent role in a complex development environment.
• Documented experience of technical leadership.
• Ability to coach, inspire and develop other engineers.
• Experience of owning and operating technical solutions over time.
• Strong ability to make long-term technical decisions and make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Experience of close collaboration with architects and other technical decision-makers.
• Good communication skills and strong collaboration skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
