We are now looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer for a consulting assignment at our client in Gothenburg.

About the assignment

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you work both strategically and operationally to design, implement and further develop modern cloud platforms. Azure is the primary platform, but the role requires broad expertise and best practice knowledge within major cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and further develop scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud architectures
• Develop and manage platforms, landing zones and core services with Infrastructure as Code
• Manage daily cloud operations, monitoring, automation and reliability improvement
• Ensure implementation of security best practices, IAM and compliance controls
• Collaborate closely with platform teams, DevOps and other stakeholders to ensure the right technical path
• Provide technical advice and influence architectural decisions

Requirements

• Senior 9+ years of experience
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, platform or architecture
• Very good hands‑on experience of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP), with Azure being primary
• Strong competence in Infrastructure as Code
• Experience of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience of Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of cloud networking and security
• Experience of identity & access management
• Very good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently, drive technical direction and operate in complex environments
• Accustomed to working in cross-functional teams
