Job summary

St1 is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering team driving the energy transition through AI-enabled software. You will work with business stakeholders, architects, and AI agents to design, implement, test, and deliver scalable solutions across multiple domains.

Bring hands-on AI experience, a strong backend focus, and a track record with microservices, cloud, and modern frontend frameworks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI in development with experience using AI tools.
• Solid experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Full-stack background with a strong backend focus.
• Strong skills in Node.js (NestJS), TypeScript, .NET Core, C#; Next.js/React/Vue.js a plus.
• Experience with Google Cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of architecture patterns such as DDD, SOLID, Hexagonal Architecture, and MVC.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with AI building blocks such as LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, agent frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Professional English; Nordic language skills are a plus.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and AI agents from requirements analysis through delivery.
• Build AI-enabled development tools and workflows and help shape AI-native ways of working.
• Contribute technical leadership and improve engineering practices across teams.
• Challenge existing approaches and evaluate emerging technologies for sustainable solutions.
• Work in a forward-deployed delivery team connecting technical possibilities with business needs.
