Pleo is hiring a Staff Security Operations Engineer to lead the SecOps program. You will own the roadmap, design detection and incident response, and work across Fraud, Engineering, and Risk teams to harden defenses at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on SOC and SIEM management experience.
• Strong development background and automation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and own a structured SecOps roadmap grounded in MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS.
• Lead security investigations and digital forensics from incident to resolution.
• Design, tune, and scale SIEM and logging pipelines across services.
• Strengthen perimeter and authentication posture including WAF and monitoring.
• Protect data with DLP controls and ensure coverage matches data locations.
• Improve on-call rotation with clear alerting and SLAs.
• Automate detection and response workflows using code and AI.
• Reduce risk through compliance evidence collection.
• Build dashboards showing response times, coverage, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to translate threat models into shipable changes.
