Job summary

AstraZeneca in Södertälje is seeking a scientist to join the TOSI team as Senior Scientist or Associate Principal Scientist for a 6–12 month assignment. The role focuses on changes and issues for commercial oral solid drug products, with collaboration across site technical teams and TOSI to drive improvements and assess changes.

Candidates should hold a BSc/MSc in pharmaceutics/chemistry/chemical engineering, have pharmaceutical industry experience (tablet/capsule formulations), and know GMP;

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc from pharmaceutics, chemistry or chemical engineering or related fields.
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably with tablet/capsule formulations in technical or quality roles.
• Understanding and experience of GMP environments.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (Swedish a plus).

Responsibilities

• Support changes and issues for commercial oral solid drug products and collaborate with site technical teams and TOSI to drive improvements.
• Analyze finished product analytical results and process information across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Support regulatory with technical input and facilitate risk assessments; role is office-based.
