Job summary

AstraZeneca's Biopharmaceutics group in Gothenburg is seeking a Senior Scientist to shape digital-first biopharmaceutics strategies across drug projects. Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacokinetics, or related field.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
• Demonstrable expertise in biopharmaceutics modelling and simulation (GastroPlus, Simcyp, PK-Sim, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of drug product performance, dissolution science, and IVIV testing.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence project strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define biopharmaceutics strategy using digital and model-informed approaches to guide formulation and regulatory strategies.
• Champion the use of biopharmaceutics toolbox and digital capabilities to save time and resources.
• Contribute to project plans by defining deliverables and milestones with project managers.
• Stay at the forefront of digital methods, including AI/ML and next-gen simulation platforms.
