Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior quality professional to oversee QA/QC for nuclear-grade mechanical components. You will lead QA activities, interpret standards, and drive compliance across projects in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires 10+ years in quality management, strong ISO knowledge, and NDT/welding certs, with Swedish and English proficiency. Nuclear industry experience is advantageous; CE marking awareness is welcome.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent in mechanical/quality fields.
  • 10+ years in quality management, assurance and control in manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret standards.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
  • Nuclear industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2 and related standards.
  • NDT certification and welding management knowledge.
  • Understanding CE marking and pressure/lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality and compliance of mechanical components and equipment for nuclear operation.
  • Support project teams in enhancing quality control and collaborate to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform quality inspections and observations on manufacturing processes, components and welded assemblies.
  • Review control plans, final control documentation and non-conformance reports; take corrective actions.
  • Review technical documentation and quality requirements in orders for components and services.
  • Issue Certificates of Conformity (CoC) and audit certificates for components and installations.
  • Participate in supplier and internal process audits.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality management in projects.
  • Promote quality awareness and provide guidance to project teams to enhance quality control in execution.

  • Issue Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and audit certificates of mechanical components and installations

  • Participate in audits of suppliers and internal business processes audits

  • Support continuous improvement of quality management in projects

  • Promote quality awareness and provide guidance to projects teams to enhance quality control in project execution



Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; mechanical-, materials- or quality management, or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience working with quality management, assurance and control from the manufacturing industry.

  • Experience of interpretation of standards.

  • Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

  • Meritorious Experience from the nuclear industry.

  • Experience working with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, PAKT, KBM, TBM, YVL, KTA 1401 and ASME III.

  • Certificate in Non-destructive Testing (NDT) and welding management (IW/IWT/IWE).

  • Knowledge of CE marking, pressurized equipment and lifting equipment.
