Aurora Engineering AB in Gothenburg is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build and evolve scalable backend services using Python and AWS. You will translate product requirements into reliable cloud-based solutions and collaborate with a small, international team to deliver maintainable software.

You will own architecture decisions, contribute to API design, CI/CD practices and security hardening, and help production-ready deployment across partners and platforms.

Competenze

• Strong professional experience in backend software development.
• Excellent programming skills in Python (mandatory).
• Experience with Java is an advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, maintainable backend architectures.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, integration testing and code reviews.
• Experience with API integrations, data processing and cloud-based services.
• Understanding of application security, reliability and production environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently and contribute effectively within a small engineering team.
