Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a senior software engineer to design, build, and improve Python automation tooling and production-grade data solutions. You will work with Azure Databricks and modern data platforms, and own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and reusable workflows.

You will contribute to data engineering initiatives involving Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and data quality validation, while collaborating across cross-functional teams and mentoring others. EU citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills with automation, tooling, and production-oriented engineering.
• Experience with Azure, preferably Azure Databricks and modern data platforms.
• Practical experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, schema enforcement, data quality validation, or Power BI.
• Solid experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Workflows, and reusable CI/CD workflow design.
• Strong Docker experience in day-to-day software engineering.
• Ability to work independently in a senior engineering role while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
• EU citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve automation and engineering tooling in Python.
• Work hands-on with Azure-based solutions, including modern data platform components.
• Develop, maintain, and refine CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, GitHub Workflows, and reusable workflow patterns.
• Support production-oriented software engineering with Docker as a natural part of daily development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while driving technical work independently in a senior engineering role.
