WeQuel is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a six-month consultancy based on site in Kalmar. You will lead hardware and software development projects from first requirements to delivery.

The role requires owning the delivery: translate customer needs into clear requirements and drive project scope, cost, quality, and time with a team of electronics, mechanics and other specialists. English is essential for US-based customers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical/electronics/mechatronics.
• Background in power electronics or mechatronics with electrical engineering understanding.
• Several years leading large product development projects, hardware or electronics.
• Ability to own customer delivery and make decisions when unclear.
• Fluent English; Swedish is a plus.

Senior Project Manager – Power Electronics

About the role

WeQuel is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for our client, a global manufacturer of DC/DC power converters for the data center, telecom, industrial and transportation markets. You start with a six-month assignment as a WeQuel consultant, after which you may be offered permanent employment with the client. You will be based on site in Kalmar and lead hardware and software development projects from first requirements to delivery.

You will be placed in a customer project from day one. Many of the customers are in the US, so a large part of your meetings will be in English. Your main job is to own the delivery: understand what the customer needs, even when the product doesn’t exist yet, turn that into clear requirements, and drive the project to the agreed scope, cost, quality and time. You won’t do it alone. You’ll have specialists in electronics, mechanics and other areas with you, but you need a solid technical understanding so you can follow the discussions and set the right requirements.

Who you are

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering, electronics or mechatronics

• You have a background in power electronics or mechatronics, combined with a good understanding of electrical engineering

• You have several years of experience leading large product development projects, ideally in hardware or electronics

• You are comfortable owning a customer delivery and making decisions when things are unclear

• You speak and write English fluently. Swedish is a plus.

You’re structured and driven, and you communicate clearly. You stay calm when priorities shift, you enjoy working with customers, and you raise problems early.

• Location: Kalmar, on site

• Employment: 6-month consultant assignment through WeQuel, with the possibility of permanent employment with the client afterwards

• Scope: Full time
