What you will do

The Electromobility Department develops electromobility solutions and ensures their implementation across segments and regions. We develop and manage the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks and Buses and create opportunities for other Volvo Group business areas.

Electromobility's importance is growing daily, with electronics being key in electrified powertrains. Our team manages the lifecycle of hardware and software components from engineering through product development to maintenance, including HPCU, DC/DC converters, EMD, BMS, and other control units.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager in Electronics Engineering, you will be a key player in extensive electromobility projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical delivery aligns with project prerequisites. You will lead quality, delivery, cost, features, safety, and sustainability efforts within your team.

Your leadership will optimize technical development and cross-functional solutions involving Electromobility, Operations, Aftermarket, and Purchasing. Your communication skills will help accelerate projects, and you will oversee development processes, establish project timelines, and present progress in various forums. You will work in a positive, knowledge-sharing environment with a diverse team supporting your tasks.

You have managed large projects from concept to industrialization and possess:

• Minimum four years of project management experience.
• At least six years in automotive product development.
• An M.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications include Volvo process knowledge, electromobility components experience, Microsoft Project and PTM skills, and PMP certification. You are positive, engaging, persistent, flexible, and fluent in English. Personal fit and diversity are valued in our team.
