Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on PostgreSQL DBA/Database Engineer experience.
• Proven experience delivering Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, administration, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Oracle concepts, data types, schemas, and migration challenges.
• Experience with database schema design, validation, and application-to-database interactions.
• Familiarity with Liquibase or similar change-management tools.
• Ability to work independently within a migration framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of Oracle DB services to PostgreSQL.
• Ensure database stability, reliability, and performance during migration.
• Translate requirements into scalable database designs.
• Interface between application development and database teams.
• Review schemas, data models, and application interactions.
• Assess compatibility and migration gaps; identify risks and optimizations.
