Job summary

RPS Softwares AB is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer / Developer Experience Engineer in Sweden to design and build scalable internal developer platforms, focusing on reusable components, APIs, and self-service tooling using AWS, Kubernetes, and GitOps.

You will work on improving developer productivity through streamlined CI/CD, robust local development workflows, and AI-assisted tooling, while aligning with product-minded teams to deliver impactful tooling and abstractions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related fields.
• Strong background in software development, preferably backend or full-stack.
• Experience transitioning into Platform Engineering or Developer Experience.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience developing Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), developer tooling, APIs, CLIs, or self-service solutions.
• Understanding of developers’ daily workflows, including local development, testing, CI/CD, deployments, and debugging.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and modern developer tooling; AI must be clearly stated in the CV.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer / Developer Experience Engineer is suited for someone with a strong software development background who has transitioned into Platform Engineering and understands developers’ day-to-day needs. You will contribute to building an internal developer platform using AWS, Kubernetes, and GitOps, focusing on reusable capabilities, standardized tooling, and improving developer productivity

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science,or a related discipline.
