Job summary

Avalanche Studios Group is seeking a Senior World Designer to shape an immersive open world, guiding landscapes, biomes, landmarks, roads and rivers. You will translate concepts into features, oversee milestones, and balance creative vision with production constraints across Art, Tech and Level Design teams.

You will own a broad subset of the world, implementing simpler activities and ensuring high-quality world-building.

Responsibilities

• Plan regions, terrain editing, roads, waterways, placement and distribution of POIs and landmarks, creating spaces and paths through them according to gameplay metrics.
• Work with Lead, Product Owner and other teams to understand the game needs and constraints to design adapted solutions.
• Improve workflows for tools and content pipelines, including structure/building prefabs, asset collections, and layout templates.
