Allianz Commercial seeks a Senior Underwriter for Construction & Natural Resources in the Nordic region, based in Copenhagen or Stockholm. Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience in Construction and/or Natural Resources underwriting or commercial insurance for large corporates.
• Strong technical underwriting skills and ability to assess complex risks and negotiate coverage.
• Proven experience managing broker and client relationships within the Nordic market.
• Analytical and decisive with ability to balance growth and profitability.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international/matrix organization.
• Commercial mindset with proactive business development approach.
• Experience applying AI, data analysis or automation to underwriting decisions; beneficial to have AI/ML exposure.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Construction and Natural Resources risks per guidelines and profitability targets.
• Evaluate complex projects and exposures, set pricing, terms, conditions and cover structures.
• Develop and maintain broker, client and partner relationships across the Nordic region.
• Identify new business opportunities while maintaining disciplined underwriting standards.
• Monitor portfolio performance, market trends, and emerging risks to optimize results.
• Collaborate with Risk Consulting, Claims, Multinational and Distribution teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
• Support strategic initiatives to strengthen Allianz Commercial's position in the Construction market.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards, regulatory requirements, and underwriting authorities.
