Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled engineer to develop and verify simulation technology, spanning multibody dynamics, tribology, FEM, and HPC. You will translate user needs into practical UI and modeling tools and collaborate with product teams to improve performance and business impact.

The role emphasizes C++ development, strong communication in English, and potential involvement with AI enhancements to simulation software. A PhD or MSc with relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, computer science, mathematics, or MSc with relevant industry experience.
• Experience in developing simulation technology, engineering software, or scientific computing techniques.
• Proficiency in C++ and writing clear, maintainable, efficient code.
• Good communication and professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and verification of new simulation technology.
• Work within domains such as multibody dynamics, contact mechanics, tribology, finite element methods, co-simulation, high-performance computing, high-fidelity 3D and surface geometry modelling, and advanced postprocessing.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to translate needs into technical improvements and effective UI and model building tools.
• Engage with product development and application engineering to ensure we deliver measurable impact on product performance, engineering efficiency, and business decisions.
• Contribute to the exploration and integration of AI to enhance simulation software capabilities and engineering efficiency.
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of simple, efficient, and modern design principles.
• Provide advanced technical support in complex customer cases.
