Aurora Engineering AB seeks a Senior Expert in Model-Based Engine Control and Embedded Software Architecture to lead advanced powertrain developments for SI/H2 ICE. You will own ECU function development, calibration automation and cutting-edge engineering workflows in a demanding project environment.

The role requires 12+ years in automotive powertrain or engine control, strong hands-on model-based expertise, and leadership with cross-functional teams. English communication is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in a related engineering field.
• 12+ years automotive powertrain or engine control experience.
• Hands-on model-based control development for SI engines.
• Deep ECU function knowledge including air-path and torque modelling.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, AUTOSAR Classic.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and SAE 21434.
• Experience with SIL/HIL testing and engine test-bench verification.
• Experience with calibration tools (ATI Vision, AVL Concerto, ETAS INCA/ASCMO).
• Demonstrated technical leadership and independent working style.
• Strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead development of model-based engine control concepts and scalable embedded software architecture for SI/H2 ICE.
• Develop ECU control functions for air-path, torque, combustion, knock detection and control.
• Drive end-to-end development lifecycle: requirements, modelling, implementation, integration, testing, calibration.
• Establish automated development, code generation, SIL/HIL testing, CI and calibration workflows.
• Analyse engine test-bench data and optimise control strategies.
• Explore physics-informed AI/ML for modelling, diagnostics and calibration.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews and knowledge transfer.
