Job summary

Volvo Cars' Software Factory is building a community of highly skilled professionals. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work across the full CI/CD chain—from architecture to deployment—contributing to the evolution of our CI/CD ecosystem using DevOps principles.

You’ll join an agile team, enabling efficient CI/CD tools and processes, supporting R&D by driving improvements in speed, scalability, stability and collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality software for mobility.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on programming in C/C++, Python, or Go.
• Strong CI/CD experience and automated testing practices.
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Zuul CI.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement CI/CD pipelines across the full lifecycle.
• Integrate test automation frameworks within CI/CD environments.
• Improve CI/CD speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute code and enhancements to strengthen CI/CD systems.
• Bridge development and IT to capture needs and opportunities.
• Guide teams in adopting CI/CD best practices.
