Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Stockholm seeks a Master Developer in Mechanical Simulation & Reliability to anchor structural and thermo-mechanical integrity across telecom hardware. You will own and evolve simulation methodology and influence hardware design from concept through verification and field-return analysis.

You will work with thermal design, system, PCB/layout, verification and sourcing, mentoring engineers and guiding decisions.

Qualifications

Expertise in nonlinear structural and thermo-mechanical FEM.
Strong understanding of solder-joint fatigue and reliability physics.
Ability to translate simulation into design decisions and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced mechanical FEM and structural reliability assessments covering drop, shock, vibration, and package/PCB deformation.
Develop nonlinear thermo-mechanical FEM methodologies to predict solder-joint fatigue and package warpage.
Develop mechanical simulation models to understand stresses from assembly processes and TIM behavior.
Correlate simulation results with physical testing, measurement data, and field returns for root-cause analysis.
Translate simulation insight into design decisions, product requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Own and evolve the mechanical reliability simulation methodology and tools.
Drive the packaging technology area and its roadmap, including early tech development.
Mentor engineers and represent reliability in discussions with designers and senior stakeholders.
